They are led by Reverend Peyton, who most consider to be the premier finger picker playing today. He has earned a reputation as both a singularly compelling performer and a persuasive evangelist for the rootsy, country blues styles that captured his imagination early in life and inspired him and his band to make pilgrimages to Clarksdale, Mississippi to study under such blues masters as T-Model Ford, Robert Belfour and David “Honeyboy” Edwards. Their latest record Dance Songs For Hard Times went #1 on the Billboard, iTunes and Sirius XM Blues Charts and was produced by Grammy winner Vance Powell (Jack White, Chris Stapleton).

Missy Raines & Allegheny
Feb 21, 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM
Missy Raines is a trailblazer in bluegrass music. The Cold Stares
March 6th, 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM
For almost ten years, The Cold Stares had toured the world relentlessly as a duo, blowing away audiences across the US and Europe with a fierce, blistering live show that belied their bare bones, guitar-and-drums setup. In 2023 the band began embracing a whole new kind of chemistry and launched into their next chapter, adding a third member and channeling the classic power trio sound they grew up on with their explosive acclaimed album, Voices.
The Cold Stares have created a buzz in the music world that has landed them on the road with the likes of Joe Bonamassa, Larkin Poe, Rival Sons, Reignwolf, Spoon, Grand Funk Railroad, and Thievery Corp, among many others.
Dar Williams
Sat, March 8, 2025
Dar Williams
March 8th, 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM
Dar Williams’ lyrics contain bouquets of optimism, delivered on melodies alternating between beguiling lightness and understated gravity. Williams strongly believes that all of us possess our own power and ability to achieve, and she rejects the exceptionalism that encourages us to “admire that yonder star,” while making us feel small and insignificant; unworthy of shining on our own but hoping to catch enough distant light to inspire some tiny accomplishment. Williams has always been very interested in how to control our future and this album has to do with the fact that at some point, you just can’t.

Compton & Newberry

Compton & Newberry
April 19, 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM
Mike Compton and Joe Newberry mine a rich vein of country music - the period during the ‘30s and '40s when brother duet music was transitioning into what is now known as bluegrass. This two man band works well in the venues large and small that Presenters' Consortium members are looking to program.
As virtuosos of mandolin, banjo, and guitar, combined with their deeply rooted singing, their music has reached audiences at venues such as the Grand Ole Opry, A Prairie Home Companion, Merlefest, the Transatlantic Sessions, as well as the soundtracks of O Brother, Where Art Thou and Cold Mountain.
